The year is 2010, and radio is dying. One station, run by a crew that has never once tasted success, decides to gamble everything on a gimmick nobody has tried before: an android sitting behind the microphone. Her name is Maico. She is small, she is cheerful, and she is supposed to save a sinking ship. But here is the problem. A cute face gets listeners to tune in once. Keeping them is a different fight entirely, and the people running the booth around her are hopeless. Scripts fall apart. Segments crash. Every broadcast turns into a scramble to fill dead air. Meanwhile Maico is learning what it means to talk to real people, and the audience is not always kind. Can a machine built to sound happy hold a show together when the humans beside her keep falling apart?
