Four high school girls, four very different energies: Run drifts through the day like she forgot where she was going, Tooru charges in without thinking twice, Yuuko shrinks back from everything, and Nagi is the only one keeping any of it together. Class is barely underway when Kitou-sensei hurts her hand, and she has to figure out how to teach with one arm while Tooru smuggles her cat Tansan into school to introduce the thing to Yutaka and Miho. Then comes the pancake plan. A café, a table, an order that should be simple. Except Miho is working that shift, and Yutaka walks in without warning. What was supposed to be a calm afternoon turns into something else entirely. Meanwhile Yuuko comes down with a cold, so the others crowd into her room to fuss over her, and later they all head to the shrine for the New Year visit. Can a day ever go the way they planned it, or is that the whole point?
