Matsuri Hibino is a middle schooler who lives for festivals. The drums, the lights, the crowd noise. She dreams about PriMagi, a stage art where song, dance and fashion mix with real magic, and where she wants to stand one day. Then a magician named Myamu drops out of the magic world and into her life. Myamu is loud, hyper, and causes trouble wherever she goes. She takes one look at Matsuri and decides: this girl is going to PriMagi. Here is the catch. Matsuri has no idea what she is doing. Myamu is not much help either, since she spends half her time causing chaos. To climb to the top of PriMagi, they have to beat rival after rival, girls who are better trained, better prepared, and not traveling with a walking disaster. Every performance is a fight. So who is really using whom here? A magician who needs a human star, or a girl who needs magic to reach a stage she was never meant to touch?
