Episode 7 · Villain Initialization

Villain Initialization

One second he is trading blows with his archenemy Ye Mu, and the next the villain known as Penrose wakes up in 2030 in a body that has not done any of it yet. He is just Ling Chen now. A high school kid with a desk and a bag and a name nobody fears. The mask, the power, the whole legend: gone, or not built yet. Then it hits him. Everything that ruined the people around him has not happened so far. He knows how it ends because he lived through the ending, and he is the only one in the room who does. So the most wanted man in his own future picks up a school bag and starts guarding classmates who have no idea they need guarding. Quiet stuff, mostly. Standing where he used to stand, saying no where he used to say yes. That is the plan until it stops being simple. People from his old life are walking around free, Ye Mu included, and every choice Ling Chen makes could push events toward the same fire or pull them off it. Can the man who was supposed to be the disaster become the one who stops it?
