Venus Project: Climax
In the near future, Japan's digital technology has gotten scary good, and it turned the idol business into a blood sport. A live broadcast called Formula Venus pits the country's top performers against each other, and the audience eats it up. They score the girls on raw power, technique, and how much experience they've racked up on that stage. Here's the catch. Only one girl gets to stand at the top. The rest fight for whatever scraps are left, and the cameras never stop rolling. Friendships get tested backstage while the lights burn bright out front, and every performance is a chance to gain ground or get buried by the competition. So what happens when the person you're closest to is also the one standing between you and everything you've worked for?
