A robot army drops out of the sky with one job: strip Earth of every last drop of energy. Gigatron needs that power to win a war back home, and he is not asking nicely. So his Destrongers grab Dr. Ohnishi, the planet's top expert on energy and natural resources, and vanish with him. Then a kid gets a call. Koji, the doctor's son, finds himself riding with Fire Convoy and the Autobots on a rescue run that goes bad fast. They fight hard. They lose the doctor anyway. Now Koji is stuck in the middle of a war he never signed up for, and the Autobots are the only ones standing between Gigatron's crew and the whole planet's power supply. They have to get Dr. Ohnishi back and shut this down before Earth gets drained dry. But what exactly does Gigatron need that one scientist for?
