Takemichi keeps jumping back through time, and it keeps going wrong. The girl he loves still dies in the present. The gang he tried to steer onto a better path has slipped out of his hands entirely: Mikey's old ideals are gone, and Tetta Kisaki runs things now, turning Tokyo Manji into something ugly. So Takemichi does the only thing left. He leaps backward once more. This time the trail runs through the Black Dragon, a rival motorcycle crew tied to Hinata's death. There he runs into Hakkai Shiba, a quiet kid trapped under his older brother Taiju, who rules Black Dragon with his fists. Taiju beats Takemichi bloody in the street, one-sided and quick. Hakkai, ashamed, tries to quit Tokyo Manji as an apology. Takemichi has to stop him, because that road ends somewhere nobody should go. Somewhere along the way, a shared loss throws him together with Chifuyu Matsuno, and the two boys find something they both badly needed: someone to stand next to. Now it is not just about Hinata. Every member of Black Dragon has a fate Takemichi could still change, if he can survive Taiju long enough to do it. And if he saves Hakkai from his brother, what exactly is he saving him for?
