Ichigo starts high school with one thing on her mind: finally falling in love. Then she meets Masaya Aoyama, the good-looking guy everyone talks about, and she is done for. When she finds out he cares about endangered animals, she grabs the chance and asks him out, tickets to an exhibition already in her hand. The date goes sideways fast. A strange light hits her, she blacks out, and when she opens her eyes, a giant rat-like thing is already hurting Aoyama. So she transforms. Cat ears, cat reflexes, the whole package, and the monster goes down. Two researchers then sit her down and explain the Mew Project: five girls, each carrying DNA from a different endangered species. Ichigo is one of them. The others are still out there somewhere, and the creatures infected by invading aliens are not going to wait around. Now she has to track down the rest of her team before the Chimera Anima finish whatever the aliens started. But what does Aoyama actually remember from that night, and what happens if he finds out the girl he likes is part cat?
