Nike is the fourth princess of the Rain Dukedom, and the only one of her sisters who can actually sing up a storm. So when the king of the Sun Kingdom demands a bride, she gets packed off to marry him. No say in it. She goes for her country, not for love, and spends the whole trip bracing herself, because the rumors say Livius is a tyrant who crushed the entire world in three years. Then she walks in and finds a child on the throne. The conqueror of everything is a little boy. He tells her to make it rain. That is the part she cannot figure out. In the Sun Kingdom nobody has even heard of rain, so why would its king want a storm so badly? And what is he really after: the weather, or the girl who can call it down?
