Suigin Riku can barely cover his tuition at an elite academy, so he takes any job he can get. One of them nearly kills him: he jumps into a pool to grab his cat, even though he cannot swim. Rei, the girl everyone admires, pulls him out. He is done for. Then he notices her in his favorite online RPG, Dungeon Century, where they play side by side without knowing each other. The servers are about to close, so he thinks that friendship dies with the game. It does not. The game shuts down, and the next day he learns the online girl and Rei are the same person. She hands him a device for a new tomb raiding game called Grave Buster. Before he can try it, she is taken. He touches the device and lands inside a tomb ringed by skeleton raiders. Two factions fight over power flowing from the grave of the mother goddess Bango: the raiders and the ones who guard it. Suigin is the last guardian, and the Monolith in his hands is the only thing that lets an ordinary player get close. Can a kid who cannot even swim fight his way to the girl who saved him?
