Rakurou Hizutome is not like other high schoolers. While they chase sports trophies or grades, he hunts down broken games, the kind stuffed with bugs and unbalanced to the point of being nearly unplayable, and he beats them for fun. Then someone hands him Shangri-La Frontier, a wildly popular VR game that actually works. A nice little break, right? The moment he logs in, he sells off almost all his starter gear for cash. What is left: a pair of boxers, a bird mask, and some weapons. He grinds levels with total focus, sure he has this figured out. Then something big and mean steps out of the shadows, and he understands that a mainstream game can hit hard too. Good thing he has years of junk-game instincts to fall back on. Now his weird playstyle is turning heads all over Shangri-La Frontier, and Sunraku, as he calls himself, keeps pushing. Can a guy who trained on garbage games actually reach the end of this one and dig up everything it is hiding?
