Shinya Kiritani fought his way to the end of The New Gate. He watched his friends log out one by one, collected his absurd victory rewards, and figured he was done. Then a door appeared behind him. He stepped through and got the same world all over again. Except five hundred years have passed since he beat the final boss and everyone else went home. The exit button still is not there. His menu and skills work fine, which is exactly the problem: the game will not let him leave. So he starts hunting for a way out, and runs into Tiera Lucent, a hotel receptionist who trained under Schnee Raizar. Schnee. One of his old party members. That name changes everything. If Schnee is still around after five centuries, what else survived with her?
