After decades of fighting, Dias comes home. They cheer him, call him a hero, and hand him a plot of land as a reward. Only thing is, the land is empty grass. No houses. No people. Population: zero. A guy who has spent his whole life swinging a sword now has to figure out how to keep a field from swallowing him whole. Then a horned girl named Alna shows up. She knows these plains better than anyone, and she lets him in on something: the place is not as dead as it looks. So Dias rolls up his sleeves. He hunts monsters, pokes around corners of the map nobody has bothered to draw, looks for anyone willing to stand with him, and tries the hardest job of all, getting a single settler to actually show up. Slowly, the grass starts to feel less like a punishment. But plains that stretch forever keep things buried, and Alna is not telling him everything. What is really out there past the horizon, and who will be standing next to Dias when he finally finds it?
