The soft tennis club at this middle school has assembled the strangest girls' team Mishimagi has seen in all his years as advisor. Chitose, the club president, cannot play at all and picked the sport basically at random. Asuna is clumsy and loses focus fast. Kotone knows martial arts, not tennis. Elizabeth, the exchange student, seems to be there just to practice her Japanese. Only Kurusu has real talent, and she avoids people and refuses to work with anyone. So why does this team keep showing up to practice?
