A teacher named Ms. Shitara has one goal, and it is not lesson planning. She keeps throwing herself at young Takagi, and every single attempt lands flat on its face. Meanwhile a cat who thinks he is a hero struts through his own dumb little adventures, brave right up until the moment he isn't. That is the whole cast, more or less, and they all crash into each other's business before an episode is done. Here is the twist. Nothing connects. There is no bigger story hiding underneath. Four-panel comic bits get tossed at the screen at full speed, one after another, and the show never stops to explain why a cat is saving the day or why a teacher cannot take a hint. It just keeps going, and you keep watching. So who exactly is the joke on here: the teacher who never learns, the cat who never thinks, or you, still laughing at both?
