Himiko once ruled Yamatai, and she wants it back. To get it, she needs the true Three Sacred Treasures of Japan, and she will tear through Kanto's magatama wielders to find them. Her first move: Asaemon Yamada storms Nanyou Academy, where the sacred sword is kept. During the attack, Chuubou Sonken, the sister Hakufu Sonsaku just found, awakens her dragon and then collapses, unconscious. So Hakufu has one option left. Her magatama is gone, and to get it back she has to go to the Jofuku Temple, a place where the line between the living and the dead is already wearing thin. The training waiting for her there could kill her. Meanwhile, every fighter in Kanto is being dragged into Himiko's hunt, whether they like it or not. Old rivalries don't matter much when a queen from the past is carving her way through your schools. But Himiko isn't showing all her cards, and nobody knows what she's really after beyond the treasures. Can the warriors of Kanto put aside their grudges long enough to stop her, or will Hakufu walk out of Jofuku as someone, or something, else?
