Being a hero usually means saving people. Here it's a prison sentence. Commit something bad enough and they slap the title on you, hand you a weapon, and march you to the front against the Demon King's army. Die out there? Doesn't matter. They drag you back and throw you at the enemy again. Forever. Xylo Forbartz used to command the Holy Knights. Now he runs Penal Unit 9004, a squad of criminals the nation treats as disposable. Then a messy fight puts a girl named Teoritta in his path. She isn't human. She's a weapon, a Goddess, and a strong one. What she does next could tip the whole war. So now Xylo has to keep his people alive, take on missions that were never meant to be survivable, and dig into the one thing nobody will explain: why he was condemned in the first place. If he didn't do it, who made sure he'd take the fall?
