Samurai 7
The war ended, and the samurai who had swapped flesh for steel found themselves useless. Some drifted. Some got mean. They banded together and started shaking down villages too scared to fight back, taking crops, taking people. In Kanna Village, the rice is almost gone and the bandits are due again. So the farmers do something desperate: they decide to hire samurai. All they can pay with is rice. Kirara, the water priestess, her little sister Komachi, and Rikichi, a man carrying his own wounds, walk into the city to find anyone willing to take the deal. Then it gets messy. What starts as a hiring trip turns into a fight Kirara barely walks away from, and that fight is what pushes everything forward. One by one, seven samurai with nothing left to lose sign on: veterans, misfits, a few who just want to swing a blade again. Now a handful of peasants and their hired swords are squared up against mechanized bandits and the merchants pulling the strings behind them. Nobody knows how this ends. Not the villagers, not the samurai, not the country watching. So who walks away when the rice runs out and the shooting starts?
