Hibiki Amami seems like any other high school girl until you notice who she's talking to. She sees ghosts. Not in a screaming, hiding under the desk kind of way either. She chats with them, asks their names, wonders if they're doing okay. Most people would run. She offers them a snack. Here's the twist: her friends can't see a thing, but that doesn't stop the dead from pitching in. A ghost tries to help Amami carry her books and the whole classroom watches the stack float across the room. Narumi Inoue, who is scared stiff of anything supernatural, flat out refuses to admit any of it is real. She stands there, arms crossed, while a poltergeist rearranges the desks behind her. Stubborn doesn't even cover it. So the group ends up doing what Amami does: helping spirits with whatever unfinished business keeps them hanging around. Inoue tags along, terrified and grumbling the entire time. Can a girl who won't even say the word ghost out loud stick with friends who spend their afternoons chasing them?
