Project A-Ko

Project A-Ko

Sixteen years after a meteor flattened the place, Graviton City hums along as a shiny futuristic town. Eiko Magami hardly notices. She has super strength, she can bend train tracks with one hand, and she has exactly two things on her mind: her best friend Shiiko, and not being late for class again. Then Biko Daitokuji shows up. Daughter of a corporate titan, richer than sense, and she has been carrying a torch for Shiiko since kindergarten. Now that Shiiko has transferred in, Biko wants her all to herself. One problem stands in the way, and that problem is Eiko. So Biko does what any lovesick genius would do: she builds a mecha. Then a rocket launcher. Then about ten combat robots, just to be safe. She plants herself at the school gate and throws down the gauntlet, and Eiko, never one to back down, meets her head on. Somewhere above them, while metal meets superpowered fist, a colossal spaceship slides into Earth's orbit. It is looking for something. What it finds, nobody up there or down here is ready for. And when the dust settles, who exactly is Shiiko going to run to?
