Polyphonica

DramaFantasyRomance2007Rating 6,8

Phoron Tatara is a musician, but not the kind who plays cafes. He's a Dantist, one of the few who can summon elder spirits by playing a sacred song called Commandia. And his partner? A girl named Corticarte Apa Lagranges. Small, sweet-looking. Also known as the Crimson Annihilator. Here's the catch. Spirits in Polyphonica are born from human music, and the strongest ones can take human shape and walk around like anyone else. Keeping them alive takes a Dantist playing for them, which is how Phoron ends up bound to a spirit with a body count behind her. The Tsuge Divine Music Player Office sends the two of them across the continent on a motorcycle that doubles as an organ, handling rescues and whatever else needs fixing. So what happens when a rookie musician has to keep the peace with the most feared spirit alive, and she's the one he can't play without?
