Akio grew up hearing the same thing over and over: people and Pokémon were never meant to share a life. His father said it plainly, like a rule you don't argue with, and Akio carried it with him out into the snow. Then a Hisuian Zorua slips into his path. Small, white, watching him from a distance like it already knows something he doesn't. What starts as a chance meeting turns into something stranger. The Zorua keeps showing up. It hides, it tests him, it refuses to act like the danger his father warned about. Every day Akio spends near it, the old rule cracks a little more, and the snow country around them stops feeling so empty. But a father's warning doesn't just fade. It sits in the back of Akio's head, and the bond forming between him and this creature is heading straight for everything he was raised to believe. When the moment comes to choose between the lesson and the friend, which one will Akio trust?
