Palm Town
Patty didn't ask for any of this. One day she's packing up her whole life, the next she's standing in Palm Town, a place she's never seen before, because her uncle George runs a medical center here and that's that. Aunt Jane seems fine with it. Patty is not. She misses her old room, her old streets, the friends she left behind, and nothing in this sunny little town feels like it belongs to her yet. Then she runs into Alice. Just like that, the two of them click, and suddenly the days don't drag the way they used to. They're out wandering together every chance they get, bumping into neighbors, shopkeepers, whoever crosses their path, collecting friends one by one and filling their afternoons with small adventures. But missing home doesn't just switch off because you found a friend. Can a brand new town ever really feel like yours?
