The Straw Hats step onto Gran Tesoro expecting a break. What they get is a floating country run by Gild Tesoro, the Gold Emperor, and every inch of it gleams. Casinos, shows, money changing hands faster than anyone can count. Luffy and the crew sit down at a table and start winning. And winning. Luck keeps rolling their way until Tesoro himself strolls over with an offer too tempting to pass up. They take the bet, betting everything on their captain's famous luck. Then the trap snaps shut. Penniless, roughed up, and stuck inside a place that answers to the World Government and nobody else, the crew has to claw its way back with nothing but nerve and a plan that might be even crazier than the one that got them here. A couple of new faces pitch in, but Tesoro owns this city down to the last gold brick, and he is not letting go. So what happens when a man who controls all the gold in the room meets a pirate who refuses to stay down?
