Chiaki finally beats his fear of flying, and Nodame's wild piano playing at a competition lands her a spot at the Conservatoire de Paris. So they pack up and move to Europe together, roommates once again. He's a rising conductor under the famous maestro Stresemann. She's a student of the strict professor Auclair. Sounds like a dream come true, right? Then Paris knocks them down a peg. Nodame sits in her first classes and realizes just how far behind she really is, since she only started taking music seriously after she met Chiaki. And him? He has to enter a conducting competition, and only by winning it will he earn the right to face his childhood mentor, maestro Vieira. New friends, new rivals, and problems piling up on both sides. Can two people chasing the same bright stage hold on to each other while everything around them keeps pushing them apart?
