A gunshot changes everything for Casval Rem Deikun. His father, the man who spent years fighting for the rights of the people living out in space, is dead. Loyal soldiers drag Casval and his little sister Artesia out of their home before anyone else can finish the job. Then the two of them get split apart. Just like that, a comfortable childhood is gone. Casval grows up angry. The ideas his father died for get twisted into something harder, something with guns behind it, and the war creeping across space gives him plenty of room to sharpen that anger into a weapon. He learns to fly mobile suits. He gets very good at it. Somewhere along the way he stops being the boy who ran from the assassins and becomes someone the other side will learn to fear. But what happens when the vengeance you have been feeding your whole life finally asks you to become the thing you hate?
