Maze comes to in her own house, and the place is a wreck. Who trashed it? No idea. She does not even remember her own name. Then a girl named Mill bursts through the door, hugging her and babbling about how Maze saved her life. Turns out the house fell out of the sky and flattened the men chasing Mill. A princess, apparently, and everyone wants her. So now they run. More hunters show up, swords out, and the two of them are cornered until Maze discovers something odd: she can call down phantom light, and with it a giant family mecha that belongs to Mill's bloodline. One problem. Maze fights like a drunk toddler in the cockpit. Until sunset. Because once night falls, Maze turns into a lecherous man, and suddenly the mecha moves like it means it. Other travelers drift in along the way, and Maze keeps Mill alive while chasing a question with no answer. Why is she here in this fantasy world at all, and what exactly did she do before she woke up in the rubble?
