At Kokuritsu Inaho Academy, bread rules the cafeteria. Then five new kids walk through the gates, and they are rice. Literally rice. Grains with faces, voices, and a serious grudge against wheat. They band together as Love Rice and set their sights on the Harvest Show, a stage where they plan to prove once and for all that rice belongs on top. Standing in their way: a school that has already picked its favorite grain, and classmates who see no reason to switch. Can five bowls of the stuff actually outshine a loaf of bread, or is this one performance that was never going to rise?
