Seven kids in a quiet Tokyo neighborhood have stopped going to school. They stay in their dark rooms, dodging their families, until the mirrors start to glow. One touch and they are somewhere else: a castle that looks torn from a Grimm fairy tale. No food, no running water, but plenty of power outlets. A masked girl who calls herself the Wolf Queen rules the place. She tells them a key is hidden in the walls. Find it and one wish gets granted. The catch: the key has to turn up before the school year ends, and everyone has to be gone by five o'clock. Stay past that and you die. So they play. They also start talking, and that is where things get worse. One boy gets buried in gadgets instead of love. Another carries a rejection he cannot explain. A girl goes home every night terrified of her stepfather. The castle only saves the ones who speak up. The rules do not bend for anyone. Can seven strangers who cannot even face their own classrooms learn to trust each other before the year runs out?
