Nanako is a high school girl in Nagarekawa, a small seaside town where nothing much happens. Her family isn't rich, so when her uncle from city hall offers her a paid gig at the new pool, she swallows her nerves and agrees. Singing in front of a crowd is not her thing. Not even close. Then the lights hit, and Yukari, her senpai, steps up beside her. What starts as one awkward little concert turns into something nobody planned: the audience loves them. Her uncle sees the potential right away. Two local girls, a stage, a town that needs a reason to be noticed. The Nagarekawa Girls are born. Now Nanako has to balance school, a part-time job she never asked for, and a partner who actually knows what she's doing. Can a girl who just wanted some extra cash really become the face of her whole town?
