A thousand years ago, a dying god named Enka promised its child would come and wipe out humanity. So in modern Japan, the Paranormal Phenomena Bureau hunts down every possible heir. Their solution? A fake family. Ouka just wants to do his job. Then he catches a small cat girl stealing apples, and somehow that turns into him playing dad to a lion, a jellyfish, an oni, a cross-dressing mafia son, and a bioweapon. His wife is Kyouka, a demon underworld ruler who did not exactly volunteer for the role. Nobody knows which kid carries Enka's blood. That's the whole point of Operation Cozy Family: stick them all under one roof, hope the DNA test sorts itself out, and pray that sibling love beats a prophecy. So now a bureau agent and a demon queen argue over dinner while five monsters fight about the bathroom. If the bureau is right, the real heir will grow up loving these people too much to end the world. If they're wrong, does it matter which child the god picks?
