Yukino Miyazawa has the whole school fooled. Perfect grades, perfect manners, the girl everyone wants to be or be near. What they don't see is the nightly grind: hours of studying, training until she sweats, all to keep that crown polished. Then Souichirou Arima shows up, and he's better at everything without even trying. She finally beats him on the midterms, and he just smiles and congratulates her. No jealousy, no sulking. It throws her off more than losing ever did. He confesses, she shoots him down and brags about it at home, then the next day he drops by with a CD and catches her in full slob mode. No mask, no act, just Yukino yelling at the TV. He doesn't tell anyone. He just hands her a stack of student council paperwork and says do it, or everyone finds out. So now she's stuck with him, dragging chairs around after class, fuming the whole time. Except the more she's forced to spend time with him, the clearer it gets: he's hiding something too. The golden boy act? Not quite as shiny up close. The two liars keep circling each other, trading insults and secrets, and somewhere in the middle of all that, something real starts to grow. But if they can't even be honest about who they are, how are they supposed to hold onto each other?
