Lord Keiro wants a sword. Not just any sword, but a sacred blade that will turn the Shogun of the Imperial Army into a god. He carves a path of terror across the countryside to find it, and the Ken Empire lets him, because justice there is just a story people tell. But a young man named Taito stands up, and he isn't exactly a normal kid: he's a star reborn in human skin, carrying enough celestial strength to level an army. Here's the catch. Use too much of that power and it starts tearing him apart from the inside. So the weapon that could stop Keiro might kill Taito first, and Keiro knows it. To get his abilities under control, Taito has to track down the only people who might understand: seven other warriors born under the same stars, each with enough strength to crack a rotten empire in half. Finding them means walking straight into Keiro's reach. Can a kid who can barely hold himself together really learn to fight like a master before the Shogun gets his hands on that sword?
