The qualifying rounds are done. Eight chefs are left standing, and now it gets personal: one on one, a theme dropped on them minutes before they cook, no room to hide behind a team or a lucky draw. Soma walks in with the same plan he has had since day one, take over his dad's diner, and that plan runs straight through people who want the exact same thing and are just as stubborn about it. New judges take their seats at the table, and some of them are not shy about tearing a plate apart in front of a crowd.
