Risei Kotomine calls the survivors together, Servants and Masters alike, and tells them to stop killing each other for a minute because something worse is coming for Fuyuki City. They agree. They even shake on it. Then someone decides the truce is a great chance to stab a rival in the back, and the whole thing falls apart. Kiritsugu Emiya and Saber can barely stand each other now. She wants a fair fight, a knight's fight. He wants the war over, and he will lie, poison and sacrifice whatever it takes to get there. Meanwhile Kirei Kotomine, still clueless about what he actually wants from life, finds himself drawn to one of the remaining Servants, and the bond forming between them is not the comforting kind. The fighting spills into the streets. Nobody bothers hiding it anymore. With the Grail almost within reach, mages stop pretending there are rules.
