Lisa, Lorna, and Soichi made it to Los Angeles for the ex-Driver world race, and on their very first night they ran into a car with a mind of its own, swerving through traffic like nobody was inside. They shut it down. The cops thanked them by impounding their car for an overnight inspection. Then the real mess started. Angela, the sponsor's daughter, vanished. Lorna remembered seeing her behind the wheel of that same runaway car. Soichi went looking and walked straight into a trap: a stranger grabbed him, and when he came to inside a warehouse, Angela was sitting right there with him. That is when he learned what the crashes and the chaos were really covering up. Somebody is betting big money on this race, and they will do anything to keep the odds where they want them. Now Soichi has to get himself and Angela out of a locked warehouse, with no idea who else is in on it. If the whole tournament is fixed, who can he still trust?
