A meteor nearly wiped out the planet, and in the chaos a military outfit called Trader Force grabbed power. Tetsuro Daiba lost his parents in the strike. Then a woman named Mello shows up in a burst of light, and he wakes up in a spaceship infirmary. He steals a fighter he has no idea how to fly, then flies it like he was born in the cockpit. Turns out his DNA remembers. His doctor friend hides him in an underground lab, hunting for a way to bring the regime down. Then the troops come for him, and a girl named Rei Yuuki shoots down their whole carrier with one jet. She has powers too. So does Tetsuro. Coincidence? They might be the only two people who walked away from that meteor. Hunting for a third survivor, they get dragged before Queen Photon, who says she wants to save Earth from whoever sent the rock. Believe her, or believe Mello? A telepathic cat springs them loose, Mello shows up to sort it out, and now the three of them have to pick: rot on a dying planet, or fly into deep space with no map? What would you choose?
