On the crescent shaped island of Hatsunejima, the cherry trees never lose their blossoms. They say if you wish hard enough under those branches, the wish comes true. Junichi Asakura has his own secrets: he can slip into other people's dreams and pull candy out of thin air. He keeps all of it quiet, going to class at Kazami Academy, eating lunch with friends, walking home with Nemu, the sister he is not actually related to but maybe loves a little too much. Then Sakura Yoshino shows up. She left for America six years ago and now she is back, standing in the school like no time passed at all. She says she came to keep a promise they made as kids. That is it. That is all she will explain. But something about her return starts pulling at everyone around Junichi, and the easy days begin to crack. What exactly did the two of them promise back then? And why does Sakura's smile look like she already knows how this ends?
