Anon Chihaya transfers to Haneoka Girls' Academy midyear and finds a school where nearly everyone plays in a band. She wants in, mostly to fit in, and starts hunting for members, picturing herself at the mic. Then she meets Tomori, a quiet girl who flinches at the idea of joining. Tomori used to be in CRYCHIC, and that band did not end well. Through Tomori come Taki and Soyo, also ex-members. Taki wants nothing to do with Anon. Soyo, though, is happy to help, and suddenly a band feels possible. But every rehearsal drags old wounds into the room, and Anon's own doubts keep piling up behind the smiles. Can a group built on leftover hurt actually make something new, or is Anon just setting herself up to lose it all again?
