Aquarion Logos
For centuries, people said words out loud and that was enough to keep the world honest. Then writing came along and quietly built a whole separate place between what you say and what is actually true. It grew huge. Too huge to control. Enter Sogan Kenzaki, a sorcerer with a grudge and a virus. He infects written words, and the words get up and walk. They become monsters with teeth. DEAVA, an outfit full of kids who can do something called Verbalism, throws them into vector machines that snap together into giant robots called Aquarions. And then there is Akira Kaibuki, who calls himself a savior, largely because nobody else will. He is a calligrapher's relative, which supposedly matters. The fight is not really about punching word monsters. It is about whether a connection between two people can still be made when language itself has gone feral. Akira keeps charging at things with nothing but confidence and a brush. So what happens when the words he is supposed to save end up being the ones that know him better than he does?
