Summer break hits the Izu peninsula, and Futaba Ooki finally feels like she belongs. She came here from Tokyo last term, shy and closed off, riding her little Vespa into a town where she knew nobody. Then Hikari Kohinata happened. Loud, sunburned, endlessly curious, the kind of girl who drags you into a scuba club before you can say no. Now Futaba has friends, a nickname, a beach cafe run by a feisty old lady named Kino, and an Open Water Diver license in her pocket. But passing one exam just makes Hikari want more. She runs into Futaba's old classmates from Tokyo, and something clicks: why not gather every single one of them into one big summer? Festivals, new faces, deeper dives. Nobody gets left on the shore. Futaba, who once couldn't speak up in a crowded room, suddenly has to keep up with a girl who treats every day like a treasure hunt. The ocean is right there, and so is the Advanced Open Water certification. But can Futaba really keep pace with Hikari's endless appetite for memories, or will this summer pull them toward different depths?
