Chizuko Date never got to stay anywhere long enough to care about it. Then she lands in a quiet Niigata town with her grandfather, and one afternoon she stumbles onto a real magical girl trading blows with some villain from a local evil outfit. Berry Blossom wins, obviously. Something clicks in Chizuko right there, and she becomes the girl's most devoted fan, glued to every broadcast of the fights. Small problem: the broadcasts barely last a few minutes, and nobody in town even looks up anymore. The reason is the bad guy. Chroma is clumsy, weak, and loses over and over, and a hero is only as exciting as the villain she's up against. Chizuko runs into him by chance and tells him exactly what she thinks of his pathetic evil deeds. Turns out he hates losing too, and if he keeps it up, his own organization will kick him out for good. So he begs her for help: become his second in command, and make his schemes actually work. She wants Berry Blossom back in the spotlight. To do that, she has to team up with the one person the magical girl is sworn to destroy. How do you save your favorite hero by joining her enemy?
