The invasion is finally over, and Border is already planning its next move: a trip into the Neighbor's dimension. One catch. Only A-rank teams are guaranteed a seat on that ship, and Osamu Mikumo is stuck in B-rank with Tamakoma-2. So they grind. Match after match, clawing their way up the rankings before the expedition launches, with no room for a single slip. Then a Neighbor ship shows up out of nowhere, heading straight for headquarters. It is not here to scout. It is here for the expedition ship itself. Border scrambles to defend it, except most of its squads are tied up in the rank wars still running, and the chain of command starts to come apart at the seams. Tamakoma-2 wanted a promotion. Now their whole agency is under fire, and the one ship that matters most sits exposed. Can they hold the line long enough for the expedition to even exist?
