Ichirou Satou is a perfectly ordinary second year student. Then he walks into a restroom and finds his Japanese teacher standing there, and ordinary goes right out the window. Kana Kojima rules the school with a stare that makes delinquents duck their heads. Everyone calls her the Demon. Around Ichirou, though, the Demon turns clumsy, flustered, and very easy to catch in the wrong place at the wrong time. It does not stop at one bathroom. The men's bath. The pool. The nurse's office. Somehow every door Ichirou opens puts him face to face with Kojima, and neither of them can explain how they keep ending up like this. He is a teenager with a working imagination, so his brain runs wild for days after each run-in. She is his teacher, which should make all of it impossible to think about. It does not. Day by day the two get a little less awkward around each other, and a little closer than a student and his teacher have any business being. He should probably keep his distance. So should she. Neither one seems in a hurry to try. How long can two people keep pretending these meetings are just bad luck?
