Lum, Ataru and the rest of the Tomobiki crew are back, and the weirdness hasn't calmed down one bit. A kid in a rabbit suit shows up out of nowhere and drags Lum, Ataru and Shinobu into the Room of Destiny, where the three of them get a good long look at what their futures hold. That is where the trouble really starts. Meanwhile Ran has a plan for a hot Tokyo summer: get her hands on a bird that cranks out sherbet cones and open her own sherbet shop. It goes about as well as you would expect, which is to say the whole thing turns into a full blown disaster. And Ataru, poor guy, sits down to another meal cooked by Lum. Some lessons he just refuses to learn. The old gang is all here, still bickering, still chasing each other around, still finding new ways to wreck an ordinary afternoon. One story hands them a peek at tomorrow. Another hands them a frozen treat that fights back. So when destiny, dessert and dinner all go sideways at once, who exactly is supposed to clean up the mess?
