Nasa hands his wife a brand new smartphone, and Tsukasa lights up like a kid on New Year's. She pokes at the screen, saves his number, fires off stickers until the little cartoon faces stop making sense. Then the phone rings for him, not her. A former coworker needs Nasa on a tough job, and just like that he might not come home until morning. She stands in the quiet apartment, married for barely any time, and now the first night alone. The phone sits in her palm. She opens the chat. Types something. Deletes it. Types it again. Where Nasa is, the work drags on and on, and somewhere across town his own screen keeps lighting up with her name. Two people, one app, a whole night stretching between them. Can a few blinking messages really hold two people together until sunrise?
