Nasa Yuzaki spent years getting laughed at for his name. Every other kid asked if he was going to become an astronaut. He hated it, so he studied and trained until he was untouchable: top of the mock exams, headed for the best school in the country, his whole future already drawn up. Then one snowy night on the way home, he spots a girl across the street and forgets all of it. Steps into the road. A truck does the rest. She pulls him out of the way, and he comes to on the pavement by the ambulance, blood in the snow, watching her walk off under the moon like some old story about a princess going home. So this half-broken kid gets up and chases her down, and asks her out. She says yes, on one condition: marriage first. Then she vanishes. Years pass. He turns eighteen, and Tsukasa walks back into his life. Now he has a wife he barely knows, a tiny apartment, and no clue who she actually is or why she agreed to any of this. What exactly did he sign up for that night?
