Episode 32 · Spicy Girl

Spicy Girl

Su Xiao has been scary her whole life. Not in a cool way. People crossed the street when she was a kid, and now that she's an actress, nothing has changed: casting directors take one look and hand her the villain. Every single time. She wants to play the girl who gets kissed at the end, and instead she keeps dying in episode twelve with an evil laugh. Then a man named Xiao Jian walks in on something he was never supposed to see. He is an investor and an actor, the kind of person whose opinion decides careers, and what he stumbles into between Su Xiao and her manager makes no sense to him. She could explain. She doesn't. Instead she does something much stranger: she hands him a contract to keep his mouth shut. So now they're bound together by a piece of paper neither of them wanted, and he keeps showing up where she works, watching her play the bad guy while knowing whatever it is she's hiding. The more time they spend stuck in each other's orbit, the harder it gets to tell where the deal ends and something else begins. What exactly did he see that day, and why is she so desperate to bury it?
