Nanako Yukishiro doesn't talk. Not shy, not rude, she just doesn't. Instead she writes senryu, tiny seventeen syllable poems, and hands them over like notes. At Karai High she's the calm, pretty girl everyone notices and nobody really knows. Then there's Eiji Busujima, who looks like he still fights people for fun. He used to. These days he's in the Literature Club, scribbling poems of his own, and somehow he and Nanako understand each other better than anyone else manages with actual words. Here's the thing: the guy with the scary face is the one who reads her poems out loud, and the girl who never speaks is the one who says the most. They pass verses back and forth in the club room while the rest of the school wonders what they're even doing. No drama, no big confession, just two kids finding a language that only fits them. So what happens when words aren't the problem, but everyone else keeps waiting for them to say something out loud?
