Yuki has been deaf since birth, so silence isn't something she thinks about much. Her days fit into a small loop: the train to campus, notes passed back and forth, texts with her best friend Rin. That's the whole shape of it, until a stranger on her commute steps in to help her, and the loop cracks open. Itsuomi is the opposite of careful. He's a traveler, he juggles languages for fun, and when he finds out Yuki can't hear him, he doesn't get awkward or back away. He just starts learning sign language like it's the most natural thing in the world. Which, to him, it is. That ease is what gets to her. Not pity, not some big speech. Just a guy who wants in. So now she's letting someone into a place she's kept pretty much closed, and he's pulling her toward his own world, one that's loud and full of places she's never been. Two people with almost nothing in common, building a language that only belongs to them. What happens when the person who learned to speak to you decides he wants even more?
